“When I did an onstage show for Goldwell called Rising Stars. It was when I was an apprentice: 4 people from NSW got chosen to put on a show of their work for people to come and watch.”

“I like building relationships with people and knowing that I’m helping them to feel great about themselves. I love that I get to see people every 6-8 weeks, and feel like I know their family and friends from their updates.”

“I love training our apprentices, and I feel proudest when I’m passing on knowledge and helping them become great hairdressers in Manly.”

“I love that at the end of every service, a client will leave the salon feeling much better than when they walked in, because of what we do to their hair. Having someone appreciate you and your hard work is the most rewarding outcome.”
What is your proudest moment as a hairdresser so far?
“When I picked up my apprenticeship, after feeling as if I’d failed. I rediscovered my passion for hair with the most amazing team I’ve ever met, and will continue to never give up.”

“Winning Apprentice of the Year for Central & Northern Sydney Region and being a finalist for NSW in 2025 was so rewarding. It felt amazing to represent hairdressing amongst the other VET trades.”
