The Mane Space’s hairdressing services in Manly

In July 2022, Ebony Hairdressers rebranded and launched as the The Mane Space. We are in the same location on the Manly Corso, now above Butterboy Bakery. Still the same bubbly team, just in a new luxurious space.

Colour and Highlights

  • How long will the service take?

Each colour service requires a processing time of between 40 and 60 minutes. This needs to be factored in when making an appointment. If time is an issue, please let us know before we start.

    – Colour services: Allow 2 hours minimum*
    – Technical foil / balayage work: 3 – 4 hours
    – Cut and blow-dry: 45mins – 1 hour

    * The general colour rule is to always leave a minimum of 2 hours.

  • What if I want to go darker?

Some colour transformations can be achieved in one sitting; however, it’s not as simple as putting one colour on. Leave the science to us, but it’s important to note that hair colouring is a process. It’s like painting a wall: sometimes you need an undercoat.

  • What if I want to go lighter?

A test strand and consultation are required. The condition of your hair is our priority. It’s often not realistic to expect your desired colour in one session. We’d rather run the process over a couple of visits, than have you walk out with no hair on your head!

  • What if I’m not happy with the outcome?

We work hard to ensure all our clients walk out happy. Sometimes hair might need a little tweaking, which is why we offer a 2-week period for adjustments. Adjustments are provided free of charge, so long as the changes made are in line with the desired goal agreed on during the initial consultation.

  • Why does my hair go brassy?

Artificial colour fades warm. Whether you have blonde foils or a brunette tint, hair colour fade is inevitable. It could be due to a number of factors, such as how often you wash your hair or how much time your hair is exposed to sunlight. To keep your colour looking as good as it did when you left the salon, maintenance is required. Talk to your hairdresser at our Manly salon about in-between toning appointments.

  • What if I've had a bad colour experience elsewhere and need a colour correction?

If you require a colour correction, please ring to book your appointment or visit us at 15/74-78 The Corso Manly. Upon booking your appointment, you must ALWAYS state that you are classed as a colour correction. This service may require a longer time slot & test strand testing prior to the appointment. You will be quoted for the service on consultation.
